Tim’s experience comes from 30 years of exploring different approaches to complementary health and personal development. This research and practice has included Vipassana meditation, Transcendental Meditation, Hatha Yoga, which he has taught for many years, Homeopathy in which he qualified in 1986, and Stress Management consulting and teaching which he is presently involved in at Kevala College, Devon.
Alongside these interests, Tim has experience in the commercial world including running a shop, restaurant, a small manufacturing business and a local market. At present he is employed with I.D.T. training company providing supervision skills training, he also works for Kevala as a Yoga teachers’ tutor and Stress Management tutor.
He offers an interesting mix from the east and the west that offers a balanced and practical approach to the art of living well. At Discovery Retreats he offers individual sessions guided by the needs of the individual.
Helen has been doing healing for over 25 years, initially as a spiritual healer and then moving on to Reiki healing (a Japanese form of hands on healing) in which she is now a Reiki master. Her spiritual background also includes Transcendental Meditation, Therapeutic Counselling, and she has worked for the last 6 years as a Psychotherapist. Helen also has experience in the commercial world, owning and running restaurants in London and Devon, plus property development, and also ran a small business producing natural cosmetics.
Helen offers Reiki Healing, Counselling and Psychotherapy, or a combination treatment which she calls Reiki Therapy.
Discovery - Bali
Ganesha Segara Villa, located on the beautiful northern coast of Bali, right on the beach, is available for rent for up to 10 guests. With natural hot springs nearby, the tropical rainforest, dolphins in the sea, a nearby reef for snorkeling and Lovina resort close by, this is a wonderful place for a relaxing holiday.
Also available nearby is the Agung massage centre, with excellent facilities and a wide range of massages. The local Vipassana meditation centre offers meditation instruction, and the Zen Yoga centre offers Yoga courses. These can be organised with our manager in Bali.
Discovery - Bantham
Situated in Devon, close to the coastal village of Bantham, and just 1 km from the beach is the large Edwardian house and studios that are available for rent.
The main house sleeps up to 10 guests during the summer months and through out the rest of the year there are 2 studios for rent.
The spa studio has 3 bedrooms and is ideal for a family of up to 6 and includes a wooded garden and outside jacuzzi spa.
The sunset studio has 1 bedroom, living area and is suitable for 2 persons. It over looks Burgh Island and has views down the coast to Cornwall.
Both are self catering and fully equipped.
