Hi everyone, I think I've made contact with one of my spirit guides, but my logical mind is getting in the way. We made contact via automatic writing and I THINK I hear what he says before I write it, but how can I be sure??? I feel bad for doubting myself and the spirit, but I can't help it! What have you guys experienced? How do you know if your conscious/sub-conscious is influencing it? Can you believe everything they say? And I thought that spirit guides couldn't tell you the future, but mine has told me bits and pieces! HELP! Ali Quote |

Don't feel bad about doubting - to me that's your saving grace. That's healthy. I am not that qualified to talk on this but from what I have gleamed, after being involved with spirituality outside main stream thinking (i.e. spirit guides) for over twenty years, is that there is so much channelled guidance coming through now and being published, as if it is fact – when it’s obvious to anyone, that is aware, that it’s their ego involved. An example of this, is a person from your country who has published the fact that he and a partner (a channel in America) will be giving birth to a reincarnation of Jesus in 2012. He really believes it – because he’s been told by spirit. (That’s an extreme example.) So what can I humbly say to you. Don’t feel bad. Yours is the most healthiest statement I’ve heard. So many get carried away. Keep a record of everything you channel to yourself, because it IS a time now for people to connect. Put it away and look at it in a week or so. Try and discern: is this your higher self or a guide. Surround yourself in White Light and Ask. While you’re communicating ask who they are. Don’t be too in awe. They don’t mind, if they are genuine. And most importantly: Experiment. Try it out. If what you receive can be lived in your daily life and enhances it, and incorporates the greater good – others - then that anchors it on the physical plane and it enhances your life with a peace (though not necessarily a peaceful process while trying to achieve it). If it doesn't involve others then it can be fantasy. That is where you have to grow, and learn what guidance to trust. And when you feel you trust it – Follow it. Big call. The end result should be the feeling of peace you feel in your heart, beause. the heart being the doorway to the soul. But if it just brings you aggrandisement (ego) and doesn’t take in the greater whole – then discard it. (i.e. The couple who proclaim they are giving birth to Jesus. Hi Suzanne, Thanks heaps for your feedback! It's really helped a lot! It's just thrown me a bit because the automatic writing has developed so quickly! I only started doing it on tuesday!
The voice I hear in my head (hehe, makes me sound crazy!) is inside my head, it sounds like my voice but it's not quite. There's something slightly different about it. Do you know much about this? I've often felt my guide (who is a he) around, at least I think it's him. I had a healing done today and I swear I could feel him touch my shoulder a few times. It's really mind blowing stuff. Hi Ali,
During deep meditation one often gets a feeling of being touched.Very often it can be simply the effect of the energy moving around the body and a sign of purification in the nervous system, not necessarily any spiritual being touching you.Inner guidance certainly occurs which is different than guides.

Ali, look at it like this: If some guy tapped you on the shoulder while you were down town, say, and if he was to hang around wouldn’t you want to know who he was? This is the point I want to make. Just because they are on the other side definitely doesn’t mean they are evolved or enlightened beings. So many people think this is so. There is that saying “As above, so below”. Twist that round the other way and you will see what I am trying to say. Everything is levels and everything is frequency, so you have to discern. Quote |

I know I'm new to the site, but I was really interested in this thread so thought I'd dive in and try to give an answer! My experience has been very similar to your own. I have had various times when I have felt my guide and questioned what it was. All I could go by was the fact it happened so often. If it was a random sensation, or something that was being recreated by the environment around me, then surely it would only happen a few times? It was happening to me nearly all the time, particularly when meditating or simply with a quiet mind. I think it is good to question it instead of just accepting it - it means that you are less likely to distrust the information coming through. My personal view is that the guides around you notice that you are interested, and they become interested in you. My teacher says that it is like shining a flashlight out of the top of your head into the spirit world - you attract attention to yourself and so they come looking. For me, it was them saying to me "Are you ready yet?" And it took a while for me to answer yes!  I hope this has helped - or at least helped put your mind at ease! Take care, Lee

Hi all, this is an interesting thread. Can I ask, if you do attract an undesirable spirit/energy (whatever you want to call it), how do you send it away? Through deep meditation I make good contact but there have been the odd times that I have felt really irritable after a meditation, tired and somewhat drained and confused and it is then that I have learned that perhaps I made contact with an undesirable? Somehow I manage to get rid of this energy, I dont know how, I could not explain, it just happens but it is rare but sometimes I feel the odd one slips through? Or perhaps I need to learn the art of closing down after meditation as I think we can leave ourselves wide open? Does this make sense?

Hi Janet! if you feel irritable and tired after meditation, from my humble point of view you are undergoing some clearing, which is good! This means that by raising your perception into higher realms during meditation, energies attached to your aura (no necesarily other entities, but negative thoughts, stuck emotions, past memories) start to be released, thus the irritability and other emotions you may feel. By clearing them, you get rid of them from your aura, purifying it. After meditation, ground yourself back to Earth, this will also help you releasing any stuck energies. Go outside if you can and connect with Mother Earth, put your feet in your ground and imagine a ray of white light coming from above through the centre of the head, through your body and into the Earth. Ask your guides/angels/God, whoever you resonate with, to support you through this process and to take all residues of dense energy that has been released during meditation. Also, before meditation, you may wish to ask Archangel Michael for protection; ask him this and also imagine blue light all around you. Ask him and any other higher being you trust that only beings and energies that are 100% of pure light and with the highest intentions come closer to you. Make sure this does not come from fear but from love, as your fear will make these things happen, as in Truth there is nothing to be protected from, but for now, these techniques work. If I might just say that the above person who spoke of giving birth (allegedly) is probably right - in a way: as has been discussed there are thousands of messages coming through, many put there by the agents of the Forward Agenda - the self named tribe or race who call themselves the Elite or Wise Men. Their Messiah is already here but his name isn't Jesus and he lives in London (the New Jerusalem) and the significance of 2012 is that in letters the number means ZION which is the Jewish state.
So although this 'Messiah' is already here (created by the people who created the monopoly on creation of money and a free National Health Service, or SHIN....) he hasn't been publicly announced to the world and 2012 may be when they do it (already the ground is being prepared - the ether/airwaves swimming in people with his name, his birth date all over the place and his astro symbol - the lion, all over the show).
